this seems like it would be a legit adapter so i can run my camera on my new macbook... will it work?
How do you expect us to answer you without a full description of what the REAL problem is?
1. Does your Mac have a Firewire port or "that goofy new thing" (Mini DisplayPort?) that Steve Jobs is flogging to replace Firewire?
2. What connector does your camera (Make & Model?) use to connect to any PC, USB or Firewire?
3. Have you called (or Emailed) both manufacturer's for suggestions?

TIP: Don't even think about the Trendnet device until someone with technical expertise recommends it. Good luck finding a MDP to Firewire or USB adapter, except maybe from Apple.
