My laptop gets overheated, why?
i have a dell inspiron 1525 laptop of:
250 GB HDD
2GB Ram
354 internal intel graphic chip
core 2 duo 2.9 ghz

everytime i run a game(like l4d), the area near the mousepad gets hot, or i play a movie it does the same!
what is the reason?
Some laptops run hot. You can get a pad to put it on that has a built in fan. Those work pretty well.
It probably is not a problem. Mine runs a little hot too and Ive had it for 3 years.
And, it sounds like the CD/DVD spinning up is the problem since both of your situations are when the DVD drive would be spinning the most.
