Is it worth upgrading my PC?
The PC I currently use is an Ei system 203A desktop with an 80GB hard drive, 1.5GB of RAM MSI (Micro Star) MS-7211 motherboard, 32MB graphics adaptor, Intel celeron D CPU 3.06GHz and a DVD writer. I am thinking of upgrading the system to be able to run vista. I will need atleast 2.5GB RAM, I will need a vista compatible graphics adaptor because the current adaptor is not compatible and add a 250GB hardrive. My PC currently runs XP home edition but I would have a dual boot with vista hopefully. I would also want to change the power supply. My PC is 18 months old.
It is worth the time and money or should I just buy a new PC?
And would it be cost effective to upgrade it?
I would probably buy a new one. A celeron processor is not good, it never has a big L2 cache, I'd buy a machine with an Intel Core 2 Duo, an nVidia 8600 or higher video card. Good luck
